Why I created this course…

I started yoga in 2011, and like many, my experience was restricted to the classes I could attend at the gym.

My progress was determined by which instructor I happened to draw on a particular day, which frustrated me, because, like most things in life, the quality of your learning experience is determined by the quality of the instruction you receive and I just never seemed to receive quite enough in a regular class setting.

As my passion for the practice grew, so did my desire to know more…

I didn’t just want to follow along in class, I wanted to understand what the poses were doing for my body

I wanted to know what muscles I was meant to engage, what I was supposed to be feeling…

I wanted to know how to adjust and modify the poses so that I could adjust and modify my own practice as I grew stronger and on days I felt weaker…

I wanted to know how to breathe more efficiently, how to calm my mind simply by using my breath and I wanted to experience what the advanced students seemed to be experiencing – utter peace and tranquility, connection, clarity – I wanted to experience meditation in motion!

I attended a workshop or 2, but nothing seemed to give me enough information and so the only thing that was available to me was to do a 200hr yoga teacher training.

As soon as I qualified, I began teaching this course…

Because I wanted to be able to share with others the information that I had struggled to come by.

I wanted to share the foundations of yoga that would help absolute beginners get an incredible introduction to this life-changing practice so that they could begin receiving the benefits immediately. Benefits that it took me years to fully grasp.

I also wanted to provide regular practitioners with an incredible resource to be able to deepen, develop and expand their current practice, so that they could advance with confidence without having to spend tens of thousands of rands on a teacher training.

And so the course was born…

Hey special soul, let me introduce myself…

I’m Brigitta, Yoga Teacher, Trainer & Performance Coach and I created this course for people just like you.

I’m passionate about holistic wellness which to me, means being healthy, happy, and empowered in body, mind, and soul. But it hasn’t always been like that. I spent many years climbing the corporate ladder, which meant long hours either spent sitting in meetings, driving to and from meetings, or sitting behind a computer screen. I was addicted to the world of go-go-go, constantly stressed and anxious.

I often had pinched nerves in my neck and shoulders; my back constantly ached, and every so often my back would completely spasm out, leaving me debilitated and woman-down. I suffered from tension headaches,  struggled to sleep properly, and never quite felt 100% happy and healthy (no matter how much exercise I did).

It all changed for me when I found yoga. 

Yoga taught me how to tune-in. How to become aware of my body and how I was treating it. My yoga practice gave me the space to slow down and to reconnect. I learned how to quiet and calm my mind, but most importantly I learned how to begin practicing self-compassion, understanding, and self-care.

I created this course as a way of offering you an easy way to become confident on your mat.

This course is suitable for ANY level of fitness and practice.

From absolute beginners who have NEVER done yoga before, to experienced yogis such as Yoga Teachers or Intermediate practitioners who are looking to refresh their knowledge and deepen their understanding of some of the fundamental principles of yoga.

Access more than 50 professionally edited, HD Videos comprising step-by-step yoga pose tutorials, weekly overview/ revision sessions, meditation and mindfulness training videos, guided meditations, and yoga classes.

> What is the time commitment for this course?

This course can be completed in as little as 5 weeks with a commitment of approximately 2 hours required per week.

This includes an average of 1 hour per week spent learning individual poses & their correct form, and 1 hour per week spent reviewing the poses that have been learned. Each pose tutorial can be done in 10min or less, making this program extremely accessible to even the busiest schedules.

Online Only Program Option
Upon successful enrollment, students will be prompted to set up a username and password (or login if you already have one for another one of our programs). Simply go to https://yogamotive.co.za and click “login” on the top right menu bar to access the exclusive member’s dashboard.

You get instant access to the introductory videos, and week 1 video tutorials will be released 48 hours thereafter. Weekly tutorials and training are automatically released at the start of each new week for 5 consecutive weeks, and at the end of each week, a revision session becomes available for you to review what has been learned.

The online program is entirely self-paced and can be done at a time and pace that suits your specific and individual needs. You have access to all content for a period of 6 months from the date of enrolment.
Videos are between 5 and 60 minutes long.

There are a total of 14 hours and 25 minutes of content included in this program which comprises approximately 9.5 hours of training videos and 5 hours of practice classes and guided meditations.


Live In-Studio Program Option
Students joining us live in studio get access to all the same on-demand video tutorials and content as the online-only program participants, however, you have the added benefit of attending 2 LIVE WORKSHOP intensive training with me. In the live workshop sessions, we will workshop these same foundational yoga poses, breath work, meditation basics, and more!

Joining us in studio means I am able to assist you with physical form adjustments, and personalized pose modifications specific to your level of practice and individual needs.

This program option is a powerful way to ensure you stay accountable to completing the program and a wonderful opportunity to connect with a beautiful community of like-minded people.

Workshop intensive sessions are 2 weeks apart and are 4 hours long.
